What's a Satsuma?
Satsumas are a variety of mandarin orange — but if you've had one fresh off the tree, you already know they're in a league of their own. They're the sweetest, most fragrant citrus you can get, with no seeds and a skin so loose it practically falls off in your hands.
Grown right here in Florida and Georgia, Satsumas ripen in October through December — making them one of the first fresh fruits of the fall and one of the most anticipated. They're not widely available at grocery stores because they're too delicate to ship and store well. Which is exactly why we're bringing them to you fresh.
Think of them as the peach of the citrus world — exceptional in season, forgettable if you've only ever had the grocery store version. We want to change that.
